Congratulations Nicole and Brad

Saturday was a beautiful day for a wedding at Ivy Hills Country Club. We began with the gals getting ready in the guest house. Nicole looked so stunning in her beautiful dress and it was touching to watch her two daughters help her get ready. During the ceremony the couple included the girls by using the sand ceremony to represent their new family. At the end of the ceremony the couple kissed and then the officiant asked the groomsmen what they thought of the kiss. Well the groomsmen put up scores for the kiss and it was too funny. Way to pull that off guys! Next the couple danced back down the aisle and you could just see how happy they were. When it was time for the photos of the couple we had a blast driving around the golf course in the carts and had some stunning backgrounds to choose from. After the couple was announced at the reception they cut the green cake! Earlier when the groom had his photo with his grandmother she mentioned that there would be no smashing of the cake otherwise she would hit the groom with her cane! Grandma sat right by the cake and was prepared. It was too cute. We worked with some great people at their wedding including Matt and his crew from Lifetime Video. Nicole and Brad - have an awesome honeymoon. Definitely go snorkeling and eat some great fish for us!

The flowers were designed by Piepmeier the Florist who did an outstanding job. All of the flowers were so elegant.

I love this photograph because it was so candid. The mother of the groom was telling Nicole how Brad wasn't hardly saying anything because of his nerves.

The cake was green! It looked so awesome. The Chef's Kitchen Cakery did a great job with the cake.

The D.J. is a friend of the couple. Byron from Ginter Music was great at personalizing the announcements.

Radio Controlled Helicopter

My husband Ben really likes to fly his new RC Helicopters and these photos are of his most recent purchase - a large one. He was flying the other night and he saw the sunset and grabbed me and my camera. "Come take a photo for me, you will see - it will be cool." As soon as I stepped out I knew exactly what he meant. He wanted some silhouettes of his craft against the sky. That is exactly why I love photographing weddings with him. We totally understand quickly what the other is wanting. Now we might take the photograph using different camera settings but when we do the results are awesome. And if you have had your engagement session you know that sometimes I can't quite put into words what I am thinking because my brain is in overdrive. With Ben I start mumbling and he gets it. Check out the photo below. How cool - a plane flew over head and I grabbed the shot.

Congratulations Christina and Chad

This weekend we traveled to Ludlow Falls, Ohio to photograph Christina and Chad's wedding. We started at Cooper's Farm with the girls getting ready. Josh, the dj, even played some fun music while the bride was getting dressed. Hot legs from Rod Stewart - what a great song for the occasion. Then we went to The Hayner Center to take awesome portraits. I just love how beautiful Christina looked in her dress on the staircase. The ceremony was outdoors at Cooper's Farm. We lucked out and the sun came out just in time for their vows. At the end of the ceremony they surprised their guests by releasing butterflies. We then took some family photos and went inside just before it started pouring rain. After dinner the couple let us go out into the rain under an umbrella to get some awesome photographs of the two of them. I just know they are going to love the super romantic umbrella photos. And then the final surprise, an Ohio State groom's cake for Chad. We hope you two have an awesome honeymoon and thank you for letting us be a part of your special day.
