Laura and Andy, Engagement

I hope everybody had a great Memorial Day Weekend. I had a great engagement session to end my fun weekend. Laura and Andy met me in the MainStrasse Village area and we wound up ending the session over on Madison street. I wanted to take a few of them in front of their reception building, The Madison. Andy was such a great sport and you could tell that he really wanted to make Laura happy. And Laura and I couldn't stop talking because she is so sweet and fun to be around. They also just bought a house and I couldn't help but talk about our new house. I can't wait to see them all dressed up at their wedding in September.

Cindy and Trevor's Engagement Album

Cindy and Trevor's Engagement Album came in yesterday. It looks great. There were so many great photos from their session an album was the perfect way to share more of their photos with friends and family. I love the photos that they picked and the design for the album is awesome. The albums come in black or tan leather or black cloth. There is a red leather option for those of you who are daring. Cindy and Trevor - I look forward to seeing you in June for your final consultation. I will bring your engagement album, engagement cards and your 8x10 print.

Mentos and Diet Coke Eruptions

Cincinnati set a world record today! The guys from Eppybird.com showed up at Fountain Square with slightly over 500 bottles of Diet Coke and a whole lot of Mentos. They got 500 local volunteers (including a friend of mine Aaron) and set off all of the Mentos eruptions at 6:00 p.m. Guinness was on site to certify it as a world record with 504 simultaneous eruptions. I can’t think of a better use for Diet Coke! - Ben

Buffalo Wings & Rings Now Open!

Last night we went to the opening day party for the new Buffalo Wings & Rings in Crescent Springs. One of our couple's from last year were a big part of the day. Eric is their General Manager. Eric is such a fun guy and is such a big people person so it was great to see his friends out supporting him. The food was great. To start off we had the onion rings that were perfect (which I am very picky about because an onion ring should be crisp) and the awesome potato skins that come with chili. We also tried the yummy garlic and teriyaki wings. And get this we even had the gyro which was seasoned just right. And then there was dessert. See the photo below mmmm good. We had the cheesecake bites. So yes, Ben and I had to be rolled out of there because the food was great. They have specials each weeknight. You will have to see me there during happy hour (4:00-6:00 p.m.) for half price appetizers. Eric we wish you all the best in your new adventure and thanks for the fun at the opening!

Congratulations Tara and Don

Yesterday we had a wonderful time photographing Tara and Don's wedding. They are such an awesome couple. You can see just how much love they have for each other. And the two love to have fun. After the gals were ready, we met up with the guys at Spring Grove for some portraits. We hid Don behind a tree and made him wait to see his bride. Tara was glowing and you could tell how happy Don was to see his beautiful bride. We then headed off the St. Henry Church in Elsmere, Kentucky. The ceremony was awesome. One of my favorite moments was after the ceremony when two of Don's groomsmen surprised the couple with a fun getaway car. They even had cute towels and opened the champagne. When the bridal party and the couple arrived to their reception at The Briarwood they put on their party wear. They all danced in to the Blues Brothers' song and had on boas, hats and sunglasses. Tom Winkler from T&F Music really kept the party going with great tunes. Tara and Don - what a party - be sure to continue the fun in Florida on your honeymoon!

The amazing flowers were designed by The Secret Garden in Florence.

Congratulations on your engagement

My sister Ann is now engaged to be married! Yeah for Ann and Thomas. I am so excited for her. Being engaged is such a wonderful time and I hope that they will have some time to enjoy it before all of the planning begins. I took this photo when I went down to see my sister's college because she won an awesome architecture award. So this was taken only a few weeks before they got engaged. Congrats!

Deanna & Brian, Engagement

Last night I had a chance to photograph Deanna and Brian at Devou Park. They were a little camera shy at first but they did great and were pros in no time. I loved their clothing choices since it matched our green setting and they looked great together. How romantic, they remembered his proposal in the Bahamas when he got down on his knee for a photo. I am jealous that they had a great proposal in the Bahamas and are going on a great tropical honeymoon. Even though it looked like rain before we met it ended up being great weather. It made for the perfect skyline view lit up by the sunset. I can't wait to photograph their wedding in June.

Go reds! (It's too bad they didn't win last night but maybe they will win today.)
