2007 Butterfly Show

Sunday we went to the Butterfly Show at Krohn Conservatory with our friends. It was so neat to see tons of different kinds of butterflies. Sometimes I would be waiting for one to fly or land next to me and then I spotted one just hanging out right in front of me. We will definitely have to go to the show again next year.

Congratulations Deanna and Brian

Saturday we had great weather for Deanna and Brian's wedding. We started at the Florence Nature Park and had fun with their outdoor portraits. Deanna was so beautiful and her dress was so much fun. It had a pick-up skirt and the bridesmaids had the same style skirts on their dresses. I loved the bright dresses and flowers and how colorful everyone was against the parks green backgrounds. Then we went down the road to their church for the ceremony at St. Paul Church. After the ceremony we headed to the Sheraton Hotel by the airport. We had never been there for a reception and I was blown away by how elegant it was. The cake was gorgeous and yummy. Their DJ, Matt from DJ Butlers, was great. He knew how to get the kids on the dance floor and had everybody dancing as soon as the bouquet and garter were tossed. One of my favorite moments of the day was when they went to cut the cake. There were tons of paparazzi-like guests ready for the cake cutting. How fun! You two have a great honeymoon and relax on the beach for me!

The beautiful flowers were by Florence Nursery.

Lynette and Charles' Engagement Album

Lynette and Charles' Engagement Album recently came in the mail and it looks awesome. What a great way to share more of their photos with friends and family. They picked some fun photos and the design for the album is pretty great too. My favorite photo is the last one in black and white. They choose the black leather cover and it matches nicely with their photo choices. Lynette and Charles- I look forward to seeing you in July for your final consultation.

Deanna and Sean's Album is Here!

Deanna and Sean's album came in on Tuesday. It looks great. They were married April 7, and after she picks it up next week, she will have a great album to show off only a few months after their big day. Quick turnaround on our albums is exciting. It can take some photographers a long time to put an album together. If you want to check out my post about their wedding day click here.

Savannah and Aaron, Engagement

Sunday morning I had a great time touring the Miami University campus with Savannah and Aaron. We started at their favorite spot - the central arch at Upham Hall. Legend has it that sweethearts that kiss underneath the lamp light at midnight will marry and will have a great life together. Aaron proposed to Savannah on that exact spot. It was so nice to bring them back to recreate the moment. Savannah had goosebumps because they hadn't been back since the proposal. Then we went over to Western to check out their pond and bridges. I really like how the swan is in one of the photos and then in the next one I had to keep backing up (closer to the pond) and the swan started hissing at me. I was a little concerned and Savannah and Aaron got a big chuckle out of it. And the last photo? It was a hot day and I talked the two of them into getting into the fountain. I felt bad for the kids on the other side who probably wanted to do the same thing. I can't wait to see this couple's wedding. It has a swing theme that is going to be really fun!

Congratulations Cindy and Trevor

What a great day for a wedding - it was my birthday. Cindy and Trevor are such a great couple. You can see their love in both their smiles and in their eyes. We started the morning with Cindy and the girls at Collins and Company Salon. Next we went to the Manor House for the girls to get ready and everything for the guests was there that day. The Manor House is such a beautiful location with outdoor gardens, an elegant indoor atrium and candelabra lit dining rooms. Pastor Dan Henry from The Vineyard did a great job with the ceremony. He has known the groom for a few years and it was special for him to be a part of the ceremony. I had so many favorite moments. One of my favorites is when Dan the DJ called a group of people to the dance floor and I was one of them. They played a fun birthday song for all the June birthdays. So I got to stand next to bride's father because his birthday is on June 27th our anniversary - how cool is that. And Cindy thank you so much for saying happy birthday when I first saw you in the morning. I had a wonderful birthday! Ok my other favorite moment was seeing Cindy's parents dance to their song Moon River to celebrate their 40th anniversary. It was a special surprise and I loved seeing Cindy in the background of the photo of her parent's dancing. They were great dancers and it was so special.

Cindy and Trevor thank you for making my birthday special - enjoy your honeymoon and relax.

The flowers by Nina's Florist were amazing. I loved the variety of flowers that were included.

The cake was from The Icing on the Cake and it was elegant and tasty.

The best man, also known as the dancing king. Way to get the party started!
