Susan and Rob, Engagement

Susan and Rob were so much fun to hang out with on Monday for their engagement session. Spring Grove was such a wonderful backdrop. It looked like it might rain before we got there but then the sun kept coming out. (Only 15 minutes after we were finished it started pouring rain while I was driving home - we lucked out big time!) Both Susan and Rob were such great sports with some of my silly posing requests. They really were so natural with how loving they are together. I can't wait to photograph their wedding in Dayton in the fall.

Congratulations Christine and Chris

Saturday we had a wonderful time photographing Christine and Chris' wedding in Indianapolis, Indiana. When Christine arrived with her dress I loved unwrapping it to see how intricate the beautiful bead work was. The colors she choose were beautiful shades of purple for her flowers and decor. After the wedding we took them all around the church (St. Luke's Methodist Church) for their portraits. One of my favorite parts of the day happened when we were taking a few photos outside. I wanted Chris to smile for a fun photo of him in a more natural setting. So I asked him to look at his bride and I loved seeing how Chris smiled when he looked at Christine.
When we arrived at the Ritz Charles I was excited to see the Garden Pavilion because it is such a unique location for a reception. It is like having a garden wedding inside because the doors were swung wide open for the fresh air to come in. It was so romantic and elegant with lilac colored floor linens and hydrangeas on the tables. Another great moment was watching them dance their first dance as husband and wife because the sun was setting behind them.
I want to send a big thank you out to their family and friends for welcoming us to the fun! Christine and Chris we have loved working with you two. Thank you for honoring us by choosing us to photograph your day. We wish you the very best!

I love these blocks that Chris' mom made! They are white wood blocks with photos on each side and ribbon tied on the top. I love how she incorporated their younger photos and some of the engagement photos we took.

Warren's Day at the Discovery Garden

Thursday I had a great time hanging out with my nephew Warren and sister-in-law Amanda. It was a nice bright day at the Highfield Discovery Garden. Warren loved the little play house and the train station. He is getting so big! Thanks for letting me play buddy!

Jill's Baby Shower

Sunday I had a great time at my friend Jill's baby shower. Her and her husband have been such great friends (we've known them almost as long as we've been married). Now they have baby number 2 on the way and I am so excited for them. At the shower there was a fun diaper cake (decoration) and plenty of fun food like animal crackers and cake. Liz from Chef's Kitchen Cakery made the wonderful cake-love her cakes! We all had a blast and now we can't wait to meet the new baby!
