We rarely get to go on vacation so going down to Gatlinburg for some rest and relaxation was awesome. Our cabin was super cute and had a hot tub outside for the cold nights. I even ate my favorite Mayfield Moose Tracks Ice Cream while soaking (it's a local thing that I used to buy when I went to college in southern Virginia yummy)! The leaves were so beautiful. Although it was probably a week or two past the peak color time the fall was so much more colorful than in Cincinnati. I normally do most of the cooking so it was nice that the guys did some grilling. On Sunday Ben and I went out to explore the park and went to Roaring Fork Road. What a gorgeous spot. We also hiked a bit. Boy did we feel out of shape when we were trying to hike up hill!

Happy Anniversary to Cara and Kevin. They had a beautiful wedding at The Basilica and a fun party at The Madison. They are an amazing couple and always so thankful! They made us a card with the photo above after their wedding and today they sent a thank you e card. We are so blessed to have such great couples to work with. Cara and Kevin we wish you all the best today on your anniversary!

Thank You Email
It is always nice to receive a thank you! Chris and Christine live out of town so we mailed their album and I always like to make sure it is safely received.
I hope that you and Ben are doing well! I wanted to let you know that we did receive the photo album - It's absolutely perfect! As always, you did a beautiful job and Chris and I could not be happier! We are so happy with all the pictures that you took at the wedding and we could not have made a better choice with our photographers. Thank you both so much for helping us to capture all the memories from our special day!
Wishing you both all the best,
Christine

Thank You Postcard
Thank you postcards are so much fun to design! Jenny loved the thought of using a brown-tone photo on her cards. So I took that idea and used her wedding invitation to match the fonts for the postcard. While they were away on their honeymoon I designed their card. When they came back they were able to approve the card and it was back from the printer in one week. The nice thing is that you save on postage and handwriting, ha! We put the couple's address on the back of the card so that is one less thing for them to worry about. I am excited to hear what Jenny and Nick's guests thought of their fun surprise!

Planning for a busy 2009
What a fun Wedding Mafia event last night. I had a chance to meet some great new brides. Thanks for coming out!
I also wanted to send a quick note out to all of you that have not contacted us yet. We book a limited number of weddings each year. Our quality and customer service is top notch and we want to keep it that way. When our brides call I know them by name and they know they can call with questions. Many brides are surprised when they contact us because we are already booked for their wedding date. It is always flattering when a bride calls to check our availability before finalizing her date with the ceremony and reception site. We have been receiving many more calls recently for 2009 and 2010 weddings- so be sure to contact us right away to set up a time to meet.

Ashley and Eric, Engagement
I met up with Ashley and Eric for their engagement session on her parent's farm. The weather was amazing and the farm was so beautiful! It was great to get to know Eric. He is from Waukesha Wisconsin (and now lives in Boston) which is where my Grandmother lives. When we went into the barns it reminded me of playing on my cousins farms during the summer up in Wisconsin. Who can resist stacked bails of hay? These two are so much fun to run around with and I loved getting a tour of the farm. I can't wait to photograph their wedding in April.
