Mark Your Calendar: February 7th

On February 7th we will be at the Havana Martini Club from 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Come talk with us and the other great wedding vendors in Your Wedding Mafia. There will be free appetizers, free desserts and limited free drink tickets. Brides, this is your chance to become part of the Mafia for free with memberships being given out (a $45 value).

Kitties

Thanks everyone for asking for an update on our kitties. They are doing great and are growing super fast. The other day Ben and I were watching them gravitate to sunning themselves in the light. So I grabbed my new lens (love it) that Ben bought me for Christmas. We had a blast photographing them in detail and then also doing some nice character studies.

I am at a convention for photographers in Covington through late Monday night. Shoot me an email if you need anything and I will respond as soon as I can. So I apologize in advance for my slower than normal response time. But the cool thing is that we have some great new products that we will be featuring soon.


Mona's shaved belly is from her surgery. As Bob Barker would say, "help control the pet population; have your pet spayed or neutered."

Wedding Tip: Black, White and Red Theme

One of the great things that unifies the look of a wedding is by using great color choices. A great tip that I received from a friend, that I want to pass on to all of my brides, is helpful if you are using the colors black, white and red or even reds or pinks. Pay attention to what is now available for Valentine's Day and buy your supplies or even your favors on sale the day after Valentine's Day. They have bows, ribbons, everything a do it yourself bride would love plus already made items like heart shaped door decorations, decor and party ware. My favorites are the heart shaped baskets for holding your wedding programs or the rose door decorations for the front of the chapel.

I love baby photos. Who doesn't? Those cute fingers and toes. And babies grow so quickly, one minute they are so tiny and the next they are crawling and walking. Because it so important to document your baby's changes we have a Baby Plan to ensure those precious moments are captured. The Baby Plan includes 4 portrait sessions, online proofing, a beautiful 4 photo folio, four 8x10 prints and some photo enhancement work. This package is only $250 and has a value of $375. We may also add artistic touches such as black and white, brown tone and dreamy affects. Additional prints can be added with our portrait packages or ordered a la carte. When is the best time to sign up? Now, before it begins to get too hectic. We also offer fun and artistic maternity photos.

Your Wedding Mafia

I want to tell you about something that is new right now - but is sure to be very big very soon. We were selected to join a small group of vendors that are all about putting the needs of the bride and groom first. My current brides know that customer service is so important to us. They know they can call to discuss the timeline or ask any questions at any time. We don't want you to have to worry about your photography, that's why we do a detailed final consultation - to put your mind at ease. So when we heard about Your Wedding Mafia we were curious about well the name and what was different about this new group of wedding professionals. What we found was a group wanting to put the fun back into wedding planning (cocktail parties to meet vendors-yeah) and great seminars to help couples learn what really is important when planning their day. Jen and Ron were so great to work with, they are truly a wonderful couple. I love how you can tell how in to each other they are in these photos. We were lucky to be able to photograph them in the beautiful downtown lobby of the Hyatt. What a great backdrop. When we arrived at the church I was so amazed by how the church looked. St. Xavier is a stunning church but it was truly unbelievable with the red poinsettia trees and all of the holiday decorations. After the ceremony everybody was ready to dance. And boy can the couple dance. Jen and Ron we hope you had a fabulous honeymoon!

Bridal Show: January 5th and 6th

Come see us at the Wendy's Bridal Show this weekend at the Cincinnati Convention Center. The show is on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. There are two fashion shows at noon and 3:00 p.m. both days. If you are one of my brides (and you are looking for cakes and flowers etc.), please come give me a hug - it's a long day and I need to see familiar faces! If you are thinking about who to choose as a photographer, come meet me and tell me about your wedding plans.

Our booth is 1107 which is the second row after the stage area. And don't forget to bring address labels with your name, wedding date, email, phone number and address. It will save you time registering for the give-aways. For more information about the show check out their website.

Warren's 1st Birthday

This day last year baby Warren was born. What a great way to start the new year. On Sunday we celebrated his birthday and introduced him to his first cake. Of course I had to get a few photos.

It has been a great year for us. Thank you to all of our clients and our friends and family for making this year so awesome. Happy New Year everyone!
